Bourgeoisie Hobo: The "Vegans stop having children... →
thebourgeoisiehobo: *long, winded sigh* Those who are enraged by the fact that someone has told you it ‘isn’t vegan to have kids’: let’s calm down a second and think about this rationally. What would the number one reason for not giving birth to another human be? Hint: It isn’t veganism by a long shot. It’s…

The illusion of a seeker
Student: For some time now I've been a serious spiritual seeker.
Teacher: Without the thought of being a seeker and without the sense of a feeling around it, to whom does the seeking happen?
Student: Without thoughts and associated feelings around it, well, actually, I don't know. I've been investigating the seeking a lot.
Teacher: Yes. But since there's nobody to whom the seeking is happening, what about accepting this. Though there is the movement of seeking, but there is actually no one who's seeking.
Student: But I'd like to spiritually mature, I've been wanting enlightenment desperately for some time now.
Teacher: Who then is the one who's wanting enlightenment, without building up thoughts around it, and without feeling the wanting into existence? Where is the wanter? Who is the would-liker? Can you find it?
Student: Again, without thinking and feeling about it, I actually can't find this specific wanter. I don't know. Well, sometimes, in moments of not thinking anything in particular, I feel totally happy, completely blissful, absolutely relaxed, light like a feather.
Teacher: In those moments of unconsciously not thinking the thinker into existence, of not being the wanter, of not trying to resurrect the seeker, you are free. Now, ask yourself, who's the one who's not thinking, wanting and seeking in those moments?
Student: I can't find that one either. As if there's nobody at home again.
Teacher: Without thoughts about it, without the sense feeling of that it's happening to a me, there is no one at all. But still all is happening: the seeking, the wanting, the listening to my words, the reading of these lines here.
Student: So this is all happening but to whom it is happening is simply the wrong question?
Teacher: Question it, all of it, find out that you don't know. Then ask yourself if it is happening to the not-knower. That which is looking for the doer is empty of a self. So you won't find any doer at all, no wanter, no seeker, no reader, no listener. There's just the movement of it. Just a movement of being. Without thought and feeling there's just 'being' happening. It doesn't happen to a doer or somebody who's doing it. Just 'being' is happening and you are it.

Crazy Vegan Hair
I have to cut my hair every week. I might have to start growing it out again because…good lord. EVERY. WEEK. -and fingernails? Every 5 days. FIVE DAYS. Holy crap. I literally cut my nails yesterday morning right to the pink and there’s already a half-millimeter of white there now. Madness.

hey: I think omnis that tell vegans to stop... →
pwincessie: I think omnis that tell vegans to stop pushing their opinions on other people fail to remember how much animal byproduct using propaganda there is everywhere. Posters plastered everywhere saying how good meat is for you, or eggs are, or dairy is.. Or how most of the adverts on television are for… When you are right, you are right.

Civil, Militant, and Revolutionary: Know Your...
thebourgeoisiehobo: I will be mainly discussing these three methods of “disobedience” (uprising, protest, demonstration, etc.) in the context of veganism. Too often is the term “militant vegan” applied to those by omnivores (or even vegetarians) who simply do not agree with some of the core beliefs of the vegan movement. I’m going to identify the problems with this label and attempt to clarify...
