Non-Vegan: I wish I was vegan, but I can't be because I can't afford it.
Vegan: No, you are not vegan because you don't care enough about the cause, because if you did genuinely care, you would evaluate your income and prioritize, get coupons, buy the cheapest vegan foods, and spend one day google searching to find the resources and information to make it work for you.
Because no one who actually has the ethical epiphany that enslaving animals is wrong uses the "vegan privilege" argument.

tommyxvx: Saying non-human animals can’t be slaves is like saying men can’t be rape victims. It’s not co-opting slavery (which, for those dumb enough to immediately call racial insensitivity, predates colonial America), it’s observing an identical situation with a different victim and calling it what the fuck it is.

The Informed Vegan: Store Sells More Video Games... →
theinformedvegan: Popular UK grocery store chain Sainsbury’s is reporting that unconventional items like video games, DVDs, and whiskey are selling better than milk. It used to be that milk was in such high demand that grocery stores would put the milk case at the very back of the store so customers would…

Whole Grains, Eh?
I don’t think most people get what a whole grain is. White flour, white rice, and most pastas aren’t whole grain foods. Just because it’s made from a grain doesn’t automatically make it good for you. You can find whole grain products by checking the ingredients list on the package. Usually, if the ingredient lists it as the first ingredient, the product is considered a...

Obama signs bill legalizing horse slaughter plants... →
quoilecanard: Horse slaughter plants have become legal again, after Congress quietly unbridled restrictions on processing horse meat. President Barack Obama signed the enabling bill on Nov. 18. Entities already are considering opening plants in Oregon, and possibly Idaho, Wyoming, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Georgia and Missouri, slaughter plant proponent Sue Wallis said. Between 120,000...
